Desks for Toribia Castro C. Lambayeque School- Peru
Children at Lambayeque's most impoverished school are struggling to get the basics for their classrooms. These students come from other schools in the area because they have experienced personal difficulties and struggle with behavior problems that the typical schools are unable to handle. These special needs kids are in desperate need of desks. Currently, they are sitting too many to a table or on the floor in their classrooms. Help us bring 75 locally-made individual classroom desks to these needy children for as little as $41 USD each.
La Casa de la Hormiguita- Mexico
Somos One has recognized the serious tragedy and hardship children experience when they lose their parents to violence. This is happening far too often in Mexico in areas where violence if prevalent. La Casa de la Hormiguita is named after a children's story about an ant who, against all odds, climbs to the top of a mountain with the help of his loving friends. Funds are being raised to build the first support center for these needy children. It will bring psychological support, mentorship, and the experience of safety to children in need.
